Publicize.exe is the VS tool that is responsible for generating the accessors for Visual Studio and I came across a scenario yesterday that was causing a bug. Here is the code we used :

public interface MyGenericInterface<T>
{
   void MyMethod();
}

public class MyClass<T> : MyGenericInterface<T>
{
   void MyGenericInterface<T>.MyMethod()
   {
   }
}

So what's happening ? If you have any test DLL that reference this DLL, with an accessor on the DLL you will receive an error like "Method 'MyMethod' in type '...MyClass_Accessor`1' from assembly '...' does not have an implementation". This is quite funny bacause as all the types are public, there is no need for an accessor.

Is there any workaround to that problem ? Implement the interface implicitely and it will work like a charm.

For any news, about that, check this post on MS forums.

It's quite a while I'm unsatisfied with my website:

  • not enough place for posts
  • not correctly displayed on some widely used browsers
  • some pages not displayed correctly (archive for example)
  • some pages being displayed in a static way

Well many reasons that motivate me to take some time to redesign it. Even if it was implying to stop my other works in progress for a while. And here it is !

Basically if the colour theme remain unchanged, this new look shall answer to all the previous criticism and thus give a more pleasant reading to you. Do you have any comment or criticism, feel free to comment on that, and I will see how I can answer to your demands !

Happy reading !

You may alreay know, but a quick post to tell that Ayende Rahien will be in Brussels tomorrow (tuesday 5th of August) at 21h, in place Saint-Gery to share some beers Smile

You must know him, he is the father (or active contributor) to projects like RhinoMocks and Castle.

I'm not sure I will be able to get there tomorrow, but Steve Degosserie should go. Follow his blog to get some news !
